HEAL

 

PROJECT HEAL

The general objective of HEAL was to facilitate the integration of third country national women victims of trafficking. These women were brought to European countries for the purpose of sexual exploitation. To do so, the project develops  a comprehensive healing process based on competence-building, psychological support to women, and enhanced
cooperation between key actors.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES

Networking +

Collaboration

To encourage networking and collaboration between key actors working with women victims of trafficking, fostering a shared understanding of the identified needs and rights among women victims of trafficking, employers, and support service providers.

Recovery +

Integration

To foster third-country national women victims of trafficking’s employment related skills and psychological recovery through an innovative Recovery and
Integration Programme.

Awareness

Raising

To raise awareness among third-country national women victims of trafficking about the rights and services they are entitled to, and among the general public about the importance of integration to counteract human trafficking.

ACTIVITIES

RESEARCH

 

Mapping exercise and field needs assessment to document profile and needs of third-country national women victims of trafficking; and the nature of support services and market demands in Italy, Greece, Spain
and Romania.

NETWORKING

 

Two local round table discussions and a European Networking Day in order to gain a common understanding of the needs and expectations of the three target groups – women victims of trafficking, support service providers and employers.

RECOVERY

+ INTEGRATION

Development and delivery of the Recovery and Integration Programme and an online database to match women’s skills to employers’ demands, transferred to a selected service provider to ensure sustainability.

AWARENESS

RAISING

Online and on-site awareness raising, including local and international exhibitions of fanzines, peer-to-peer sessions, summer school, and final international conference.
